Full Stack Web Developer
Hello! I am a University of Texas graduate who is passionate about technology and programming! I graduated in 2021 with a degree in Economics and then decided to enroll in the coding bootcamp App Academy to pursue my goal of working in tech. Red Riding Hood is a project inspired by Robinhood. This was my capstone project and I build the project using React, React-Redux, Docker, Flask, SQLAlchemy, and raw CSS. I implemented the node package Chart.js for the stock price and user portfolio data visualization.
Planstagram is a clone of Instagram. I worked on this project with 3 other classmates, and the technologies we used include: Docker, Flask, SQLAlchemy, React, React-Redux, and raw CSS. We used Firebase cloud storage for local image uploading.
Git it Done is a project inspired by Remember the Milk. This was another group project, and the technologies used to build this application include: Express.js, Sequelize, and the html templating engine Pug.js
Hello, welcome to my personal portfolio! I am a recent graduate from the coding bootcamp, App Academy, and here are some of the technologies that I have experience working with!
I have used React multiple times throughout my career as a web developer. I was introduced to the technology during my internship at Saight Dev where I worked on building websites for small businesses in the greater Austin area. I also used React for multiple projects during my time at App Academy.
I have used Redux to manage state with React for all of my projects with App Academy. I have developed proficiency with manipulating the Redux store to render desired information on the client-side.
Docker containerization has allowed me to easily deploy two of my projects. The concept of containerization fascinates me and I am excited to continue learning more about how to use Docker as effectively as possible. I am also learning how to use Kubernetes in my free time.
I used a flask backend for my final two projects and I quickly realized how much I enjoyed using it. I quickly developed proficiency by designing complicated data models and tables for both applications, Planstagram and Red Riding Hood. I used the ORM SQLAlchemy to query the databases, and working with this backend framework made me discover my passion for writing Python!
